POSITION SUMMARY

The employee in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. All employees are required to practice the customer courtesy skills of See.Say.Smile to ensure our guests are afforded a remarkable experience. The Facilities Tech III is also responsible for the successful operation and oversight of the Facilities-Maintenance employees on their shift to ensure the property is maintained to the highest possible standard. 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensure at all times operating principles are being adhered to:
    1. Clean – Keep all areas clean and pristine.
    2. Safe – Follow all safety policies and procedures.
    3. Friendly – Use customer courtesy skills of Company sponsored programs to provide superior guest service.
    4. Fun – Have fun! Be interactive with all internal and external guests while maintaining professional standards.
    5. Fantastic Value – Effectively manage and ensure an optimum value proposition for our patrons. 
  1.  Interact with all guests and team members to positively influence the guest and team member experience. Demonstrate resiliency when faced with difficult situations under all types of business conditions. Work effectively and courteously with fellow team members.
  1. Supervise processes and programs to effectively control and reduce loss time injuries.
  1. Controls staffing levels to ensure optimum service levels and timely completion of tasks while maintaining and controlling costs through supervising employees and effective delegation of duties.
  1. Responsible for the completion of all maintenance service requests as assigned.
  1. Ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees.
  1. Assist Facilities Manager with the successful operations of the Facilities Department.
  1. Assist other departments to assure the success of Facilities and the company overall.
  1. Reviews and maintains ADA Building codes.
  1. Responsible for general maintenance of all Company owned facilities and the property itself.
  1. Perform maintenance as instructed by the Facilities Manager.
  1. Work effectively and courteously with guests and fellow employees.
  1. Advanced knowledge of the HVAC systems, generator and fire safety systems. 
  1. The ability to identify, diagnose and repair items related to maintenance of the facilities.
  1. Identify the need for and perform advanced to expert level painting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and other projects relating to the maintenance of the property.
  1.  Assist in creating and maintaining a preventative maintenance program.
  1. Operate all types of hand tools, power tools and machinery as may be necessary.
  1. Use chemicals in a safe manner utilizing all safety precautions.
  1. Operate lifts and company equipment in a safe manner.
  1. Assist in monitoring all work being performed by outside contractors.
  1. Responsible for alerting supervisory personnel of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that has taken place or that may occur.
  1. Complete special projects or other responsibilities as may be determined.
  1. Adhere to regulatory, departmental and Company policies in an ethical manner and require others to do the same.
  1. Handle routine customer complaints and incidents, and exhibit the appropriate discretion to define situations requiring the attention of supervisory personnel. Seek to resolve all situations in a manner that maintains positive guest relationships.
  1. Must be able to work a flexible schedule as required by business operations, including nights, weekends and holidays; shifts may change based on business needs.
  1. Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical/mental demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. overhead, arms-length up to 20 lbs. without assistance.

Mental Demands:

  • Must be able to perform oral & written communication, concentration, perception, working with interruptions, calculating and problem solving.

Work Environment:

  • Must be able to work inside and outside in hot/cold temperatures, exposure to dust/smoke/fumes, exposure to chemicals and noise, exposure to electrical hazards.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Experience/Education:

  • Preferred 3-5 years’ experience in the maintenance and cleaning of a large working facility or plant having completed training and education from a trade or vocational institution obtaining a certification in any of the following fields; commercial electrical wiring, control wiring, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, refrigeration, or any other training which would relate to the day to day operations of the business.

Knowledge:

  • Sound technical understanding and experience with all building systems, maintenance and housekeeping techniques and tools.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, alarm and fire safety systems, generators, plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry.
  • Knowledge of OSHA required standards and safety requirements.
  • Knowledge of personal protective equipment.

Other:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Level 2 Missouri Gaming License.
  • Must be able to receive and maintain all required certification relating to the position.
  • Must complete all required company training.
  • Must be able to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to computer, keyboard and telephone
